Higher Level Pharmacy Technician Band 5

37.5 hours per week over 7 days to include working 1:6 weekends and participation in a late night rota.
We require Registered General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Pharmacy Technicians who are Accredited Technician Checkers to cover maternity leave.
You will be a key member of staff and actively support and develop Pharmacy Services whilst facilitating prompt discharges.
You will be a positive and well motivated person with a professional attitude.
You will be adaptable, a good communicator and work easily within a team.
You will work in the Dispensary to provide a high quality and timely service.
You will participate in Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) ward services with the Pharmacy Ward Teams. This will include ward visits for medicines reconciliation as recommended by NICE guidelines.
We will also consider a Band 4 Pharmacy Technician wanting to progression in to a Band 5 role . This would mean working through a Band 4 to 5 progression portfolio under the supervision of our Education & Training Senior Pharmacy Technician.
To be responsible for the technical management of medication supply and to be involved in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to all patients within the Trust through the provision of a safe & effective dispensing and distribution service whilst facilitating prompt discharges.
As a Band 5 Technician you will be expected to cover leadership responsibilities and participate in general dispensing and Core Band 5 checking duties.
All duties will be carried out under the direction of the Chief Pharmacist.
