ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Highly motivated technician willing to contribute at the highest level. 
• Demonstrates the desire to learn various technical areas, has out-of-the-box thinking, and can bring creative ideas and solutions to technical challenges. 
• Performing multiple failure analysis techniques to characterize media and other HDD components, as we support both development and manufacture of HDD media.
• Responsible for investigating and analyzing product failures using Optical Microscope, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM),OSA and ZYGO to determine failure defect and support the development of solutions that enhance product reliability.
• Hands-on skills and technical expertise will play a critical role in our quality assurance processes.

Position Objectives

NPI Process Technician, with guidance from Section Manager & Senior NPI Process Engineer, participating in every phases of new product sample build and having the task to data-log all activities during sample build for improvement opportunities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. To assist Section Manger/Senior Process Engineer for smooth introduction of new products with all key milestones are met accordingly.

1. To assist in coordinating sample build for new projects. Report all SMT/ SIP MI/ Underfill process related problems encountered during the sample build in details.

1. To attend project meeting, take up relevant tasks and close all open points under his/ her responsibility.

1. To track the sample builds effectiveness (i.e. setup, run time, material scrap & etc.) by preparing tracking list and quality report after each sample build.

1. To manage and control material allocated for sample build, including arrangement of rejected PCBA for rework and handover of completed good PCBA to MFI.

1. To prepare and ensure complete backflush and disposal of materials after each sample build.

1. To perform AXI on sample build PCBA per request.

1. To familiar with SMT production setup instruction, instruction card and visual aid.

       9. To take up tasks as assigned by superior.

Position Objectives:

• Assists Quality Engineers/Manager to maintain and continuous improve the quality system in order to produce the products and provide the services that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
• Assist Quality Engineers/Manager on FA return management

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate quality report and yield monitoring
• Provide support on IPQC, ECN & NPI team activities.
• Assist Engineers/ Manager to update and review the controlled documents
• Responsible for the SMT issues and internal/external quality feedback
• Handle internal FA returns and incoming defect material based on internal line feedback
• Assist Quality Engineers in Root Cause analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action implementation
• Assist Quality Engineers to perform data collection
• Involve in process audit activities
• Involve in IDC scrap report and improvement activities
• Assist Quality Engineers on Vendor coordination that relates to quality issues.
• Assist Quality Engineers to perform ESD checks.
• Any other technical task to be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time

As Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools on a media manufacturing production line. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 12 hour AWS Shift and overtime, as required by the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance per PM schedule. Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on all production equipment.
• Document routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool maintenance system.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machine to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Document routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures details on system database
• Provide inputs to Shift Coordinator or Equipment Engineer to improve PM cycle-time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce media scrap and cost of ownership.
• Provide Technical training and certification for junior technician.
• Support Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer for machine conversion/upgrade and improvement projects.
