The successful candidates will have responsibility, at site level for the effective delivery of all aspects of the Soft FM service which includes building and grounds cleaning; catering; school crossing patrol; security; and any other related services.

You will have a flexible approach to working hours and have experience of working in a customer focused environment and be willing and enthusiastic to work as part of a team. It is desirable that you have previous Soft FM experience in a similar environment and have a willingness to undertake training.

You must have literacy, numeracy and IT skills and it is desirable that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must have the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implementation, development and operation of Hard disk drive and HAMR technology tribology component head and media testing.
• Work on various tribometers and testers, focusing on the new development of Blade HDD-like testing in environmental chambers, to characterise mechanical, electrical and magnetic performance, reliability and lifetime of head designs and media pairings.
• Direct operators to receive, inspect and index parts and materials entering the lab.
• Assist the supervisor to direct a team of Engineering Operator personnel that perform 24-7 operational tribology testing and assist with their training needs.
• Assist the Supervisor and other technicians, to ensure all Tribology equipment and testers are available, operated without deviation from official procedures, are well maintained and meet contamination, ESD and safety/hazard requirements.
• Manipulate raw data manually or through Marco's into spreadsheets and data analysis software, then construct MS PowerPoint presentations based on standard templates for Engineer review.
• Own specific tester statistical process control and preventative maintenance activities per IMS/ISO standards.
• Assist the team of Operators for lab tidiness (6S) and cleanliness.
• Assist in development of macros and setup of testers to enable the required testing and desired data output.
• Assist with Helium gas cylinder changes.
• Perform statistical data analysis on software such as JMP.
• Train other operators & technicians for tester operation, data analysis and report.
• Train new Engineers on tester operation and engineering test concepts.
• Manage testing schedule with Operators and Engineers.
• Lead to perform 1st & 2nd level FA and debug of any testing issues and report to Engineer or Management level.
• Other adhoc duties as assigned, including wider Development departmental tasks and team building events.
• Attend and participate in training as assigned.

• Collect data of machines failure or maintenance data for engineering analysis.
• Support machine Preventive Maintenance per schedule plan and check sheet record.

JOB PURPOSE
The Small Repairs Officer (SRO) will provide a handyperson / small repairs and medical adaptions installation service to older people and people with disabilities within Lanarkshire, living primarily in privately owned or privately rented accommodation.
This work will form a key part of the Lanarkshire Care & Repair Service delivery.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES
1.
Arrange appointments and carry out assessments of small repairs, adaptations and improvements required by clients, advise clients on cost, agree tasks to be undertaken and make arrangements for the work to be carried out.
2.
Arrange appointments and carry out small repairs, adaptations and improvements within the operational requirements of the Care & Repair Project.
3.
Work with clients requiring minor adaptation equipment to determine best position for items in relation to their needs.
4.
Work with clients to install prefabricated metal handrails and grab rails
5.
Work with clients to install modular metal ramps to allow access via wheelchairs to and from the property.
6.
Work with Social Work to install community alarms, associated wireless peripheries and key safes when required.
7.
Purchase materials, arrange delivery of and maintain appropriate and accurate records in respect of these in accordance with our policies and procedures.
8.
Either directly or via other Care & Repair staff, assist clients in securing the services of suitable contractors for works that clients wish to have carried out but which are out with the scope of the SRO.
9.
Either directly or via other Care & Repair staff, offer information and advice on referral routes to assist with energy efficiency, home security, fire safety, finances etc and to assist clients in accessing specialist information and advice in respect of these from the appropriate agencies.

GENERAL
1.
Maintain appropriate and accurate records including financial records to assist in the monitoring and reporting requirements of the Care & Repair Project in accordance with our Policies and Procedures.
2.
Provide weekly reports to the Chief Executive and provide information and data on at least a weekly basis to the Office Coordinator to enable the Care & Repair data base and records to be kept up to date.
3.
Liaise with Care & Repair staff, personnel from health, social work, housing and other appropriate information and advice agencies as required to achieve the aims and objectives of the Care & Repair Project.
4.
Ensure that any allocated SRO vehicle is at all times used and maintained in a safe, roadworthy and clean condition and is kept securely when not in use.
5.
Assist in ensuring that all tools and equipment used by the SRO are used and maintained in a safe and clean condition, meet the requirements of our Health and Safety Policy and are kept securely when not in use.
6.
Ensure that our Code of Conduct, Health and Safety Policy and Equalities Policy are followed at all times.
7.
Ensure the maintenance of confidentiality at all times in respect of all Care & Repair business.
8.
Keep up to date on relevant guidance, legislation, practices and procedures and undertake training as required.
9.
Undertake other duties from time to time which contribute to meeting the objectives of the post as directed by the Care and Repair Chief Executive.

Within budget constraints and taking account of staffing levels within Lanarkshire,
