Do you want to develop new skills and support others during their rehabilitation after neurological illness? An opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Technician to join the Wolfson Neurorehabilitation team at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton, working within the Physiotherapy team.

As a therapy technician you will require previous experience of working with the public and experience of working in a team. Previous experience of working in a therapy technician role is desirable, but not essential.

The post will involve working alongside qualified therapists to provide direct patient intervention (both one to one and group sessions), administrative tasks, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, information gathering and promotion of best quality patient care. You will also be required to work at St Georges Hospital on regular rostered weekends.

We offer support, supervision, in house training and the opportunity to work in a dedicated and highly skilled therapy and multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants need to be flexible, reliable, demonstrate confidence in dealing with the public and possess excellent communication skills. They will need to be able to complete tasks delegated to them as well as have the ability to use their initiative.Good team work skills are essential as well as basic IT skills.

What you'll be doing;

• You will be responsible for the day to day service, MOT preparation and repairs of our HGV's.
  
• You will keep our HGV's safely on the road, so our street side operatives can carry out their duties for our millions of customers.
  
• Responsible for carrying out routine vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs to ensure our fleet is reliable, available and safe.
  
• Ensure all workshop tools, personal tools and welding equipment must be secured and where possible locked away each night. Welding and electrical equipment should be turned off and left in a safe condition when not in use.
  
• Attend roadside breakdowns if required and work as part of a team.
  

What we're looking for;

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification.
  
• Must hold a HGV driving licence.
  
• Supply your own comprehensive tool kit.

What you'll be doing;

• Drive, plan and manage daily operations of the maintenance department, servicing both the MRF and the MBT as well as to a lesser extent the Transfer Station, the Weighbridge and the HWRC. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacy technician to join the cardiac team at Barts Heart Centre.

You will have the opportunity to develop your medicines management skills, working closely with medical and nursing staff on a wide range of medicines management matters tooptimisemedicines use across the site.

With the implementation of ward based dispensaries for all wards and a pre-admission drug history service, you will assist the team in further developing the continued expansion of the service and implementing initiatives in line with the Carter review.

You will gain experience in counselling patients, conducting audits and ensuring optimal medicines management across the site.

This is a 6 month fixed term role based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, working 37.5hours per week including 1 in 5 weekends.

There is a need for close coordination with the wider specialist MDT to pre plan medicines required for our patients at ward level through the implementation of an efficient medicines management system. This will include the assessment of patient’s own drugs, conducting medicines reconciliation, counselling patients about their medicines and coordinating the supply of discharge medication.

The role will also involve the training and supervision of junior team members and dispensary based responsibilities.
