Claremont Fan Court School is an independent day school for pupils aged from 2½ to 18 years. The school is set in 99 acres of historic landscaped grounds of the Claremont Estate in Esher, Surrey.
We are growing our team and are seeking to appoint 3 facilities assistants to work as part of the in-house team responsible for the safe upkeep and running of the school’s facilities.
Working throughout the year, Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday (approx. 3-4 per year), 40 hours per week, 10.30am – 7.00pm. Key responsibilities of the role include portering, parking management, event logistics and site security. There will also be general repairs and maintenance across the site.
The successful applicant will be a strong team member and equally capable of working on their own. A good standard of DIY skills to undertake general maintenance and repairs is desirable although training will be provided. Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential. A strong customer service ethic is key.

As a Porter (Maintenance) at our Guildford Hospital, you'll need to be a good communicator, as this role involves helping our patients to feel relaxed and reassured, from the moment they enter the carpark until they leave after their treatment. As a Porter (Maintenance), you will:

• Be part of a close-knit professional team.

• Collect and return patients to their individual rooms, on arrival and after other departments for tests and scans.

About the role:Activate Learning is looking to recruit a Group Desktop Technician to offer IT technical support in collaboration with the broader IT team across the group.This role will be predominately based at our Guildford campus providing onsite technical support and advice to staff and students on hardware and software issues, and to maintain and install IT equipment.You will also be responsible for providing first and second line technical support and coordinating with 3rd line, along with supporting customers face to face.This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37 hours per week at our Guildford College campus. The role also requires occasional travel to other sites across the group, with travel/mileage expenses available for any travel from your base college.What do you need to be successful as a Group Desktop Technician at Activate Learning?The post holder will have a strong background in IT and be able to demonstrate good technical troubleshooting abilities, along with the ability to work independently as well as part of the team.You will have excellent communication skills and customer service experience.
