Applications are invited for an AV Store Technician within the Technical Support department at the Glasgow School of Art on a 1 year, fixed term basis with a start date in January 2025.
We are seeking an AV Store Technician who will enjoy working in a creative and dynamic educational environment. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Digital Media team. Duties will be to provide an effective and efficient equipment-loan service for the Technical Support Department and be responsible for the day to day stock control, loan-procedures & maintenance of the departmental video, audio, presentation and other related equipment. The role-holder will also be available to advise on stock and non-stock items and to process purchase requisitions.
You should be qualified to HND level or have equivalent experience in a relevant area including experience in the safe operation and basic maintenance of A/V & A/V related equipment: video cameras, DSLRs, audio recorders & microphones, tripods & stands, projectors, media players, etc. with an understanding of the creative use of this equipment.
