The Role
An exciting opportunity has come up to work within the Housing and Property Service to improve conditions in the private rented sector.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with private landlords, tenants, partner agencies and the community to improve standards of housing. You should have an appreciation of the link between housing and health, an understanding of private sector housing issues, and a good knowledge of building construction and improving energy efficiency in domestic dwellings. You will also be expected to have prior knowledge of the workings of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System and have experience of regulatory enforcement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, and you should possess good I.T. skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible team player, who is committed to high standards of customer care and able to work unsupervised and perform well to targets/deadlines.
