Our Estates & Facilities team are looking for a Facilities Assistant (Security) to join on a part time basis. You will be working 3pm-9pm Monday to Friday at our Queens Drive campus.In this role, you will assist the rest of the team in providing a comprehensive service including maintenance, security and other site services in line with the Facilities Service Standards. A large part of your role will be working on the Security aspect of the role. You will monitor CCTV across the campus, monitor visitors entering and leaving the premises, unlocking and locking of areas, acting as a registered keyholder and operating fire and intruder alarms. You will develop a great relationship with staff and students around the College, and you will become a known and familiar face, especially the reception staff who you'll see a lot of!To apply for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience in a similar type of role or environment, experience in handling the public, able to work unsupervised and strong ability in remaining calm, approachable and remaining personable. Carbon 60 is looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant for its leading Facilities management client based in Porton Down, Salisbury Pay rate is £13ph PAYE Working hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with a 1 hour unpaid break per day

Principal Accountabilities:

• The monitoring of the security cameras
• Carry out administrative duties for facilities
• Management of day to day inventory and stock control
• Control all stock from goods inwards to dispatch
• Maintain and control stock levels
• To source material and tooling for all related technical jobs
• Processing orders and delivery of spare parts, components and lab equipment
• Distribution of parts to technicians
• To load and unload deliveries
• Source, develop and maintain relationship with suppliers and subcontractors
• Adherence to all client processes for laboratory conditions
• Contribution to the smooth running of the laboratories
• Ensure maximum stock levels at all times
• Painting as directed
• Repairing any damage to walls

• Carrying out porterage tasks as requested

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous stores experience is ideal
• Full driving license
• Technical expertise, qualifications in a craft skill or engineering discipline would be important
• Knowledge of key operational procedures
• Previous experience in a front facing customer service skills
• Sound administrative experience
• Good telephone manner
• Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Power Point
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads
