Multi-Skilled Field Technician
Carbon60 are recruiting for an Engineering Technician to work for a large engineering company that supply valves, fittings and flow control equipment to the water, wastewater and oil and gas industries throughout the world.
This Project Engineer is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate is someone who is qualified either mechanically or electrically to HNC/ HND or City & Guilds (or equivalent).
Role Responsibilities:
As an engineering technician, you will be responsible for providing customers technical service including installation, service, refurbishment and customer support of all mechanical and electrical components, associated within their core business of penstocks, valves and actuators.
You will need to have a flexible approach with on-call duties on a rota, working outside in different weather conditions, and working in confided spaces.
- Analytical survey of control equipment, both electrical and physical. Primarily values and actuators.
- Isolate, dismantle and inspect valve/ actuator parts, including moving parts and lubricants.
- Examine and report any defects with regards to the valves, actuators and pipework.
- Carry out both planned and reactive service visits
Skills and Experience required:
- Previous experience in a similar role within engineering
- Electrically or mechanically qualified (HNC/HND, City and Guilds etc).
- Technical understanding of actuators, values or associated equipment
- Full driving licence
Up to £42,000 per annum + Vehicle + Benefits + 4% profit bonus scheme.
Please note, this is a field service role travelling across the South (Hampshire).
