Electrical Technician - Controls System Installer
Birmingham, B24 0RD.
6-12 Month contract position - which may lead to further work.
Monday - Friday 8 hours per day 40 hours per week. (Over time available when the project calls for it)

With ever-changing technologies within manufacturing production, the company is well placed to provide both collaborative robot and integrated high speed automated machinery to customers across the UK. With this is mind this is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical technician - control systems installer, to join the engineering team to support a range of new build projects.
Duties
As a suitably qualified electrical technician with control systems installation experience, you will be working within a modern, clean and well-equipped manufacturing facility in Birmingham, B24 0RD. Primary responsibilities will be to install electrical wiring and pneumatic piping to new build automated machinery. Typical duties will include installing control voltage cabling, pneumatic piping, valves, cylinders, sensors and other multi core cabling with the associated supports, labelling and ties all from schematic drawings and pneumatic layouts supplied by the design team. Other duties will include electrical and pneumatic testing, setting, fault finding, commissioning, and rectifying varying controls systems. Upon completion of the build, you will also be required to work on site to install the new machinery.
About You
Based ideally in Birmingham you will need to live within a commutable distance of B24 9QG as no travel or accommodation costs are covered for this role.
Demonstrable experience of wiring and piping automated machinery from schematic drawings along with setting, checking and fault-finding is essential for this role as you will be required to manage your own work.
Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Ideally NVQ, City and Guilds or HNC Qualified in Electrical Engineering. These qualifications aren't essential if you have the experience outlined above.
CSCS is preferred.
