A prestigious educational facility near Richmond Park that is currently looking for well-rounded maintenance handymen to join their team. This full-time position requires working Monday to Friday for 40 hours a week, with a shift pattern of either 7am–4pm, 8am-5pm, or 10am-7pm. Candidates must be flexible with the shift timings. The salary offered for this position is £29,000 per annum.
Job Duties
The handyman job will require:
Carrying out routine maintenance tasks such as carpentry, decorating, locks, minor plumbing repairs, and plastering surfaces.
Checking sites for health and safety hazards.
Ensuring security protocols are followed and maintenance equipment is stored correctly.
Responding to emergency alarms.
Preparing classrooms according to timetables.
Assisting contractors on site and handling invoices.
Performing minor repairs like hanging pictures and putting up shelves.
Assisting with fire alarm testing.
Attending training courses for skill and knowledge updates.
Job Requirements
Proven experience as a handyman
Ideally a fabric background with basic understanding of plumbing or carpentry
Good communication ability
Understanding of health and safety procedures would be essential.
Ability to work on their own.
Attend training courses to develop skills
Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
Attention to detail
Clean driving license ( Would be essential)
Reliable & Flexible
Confident to work at heights
Physical stamina.
Worked in a similar environment would be desirable
