What you will be doing:
This position is responsible for all maintenance issues within the Hotel to deliver an excellent guest experience while performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating projects.
Assist the Maintenance Manager with projects including repairs and replacement of plant and equipment including refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
Manage contractor work requests, inductions and follow up on all work assigned.
Assignment of daily tasks to engineering staff, to meet workload and business needs
Implement systems to manage risk and environmental impact effectively.
Train and develop members of the Engineering team.
Prioritize job requests, assign tasks to team and follow up on completed jobs as required.
Ensuring overall adherence to fire safety policies of Hot Works permits, Tag Out system, Material Safety Data Program, Confined Space program, CFC control program, Work Permit program.
