We are recruiting for a manufacturer business based just outside of Chilbolton, Hampshire. They design and manufacture cryosurgical medical devices. They boast extremely low staff turnover and will provide full training.
We have a full time position for a Production Operative. It's a 12-month contract with the possibility of this becoming permanent.

The standard hours for the role are Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30

Skills/Experience:
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Dexterity required, as many assembly tasks require the handling of small, delicate components.
* Good communication skills for liaising with all levels of colleagues.

* Previous experience in the manufacture of precision assemblies useful but not essential as training is provided.
* Ability to read engineering drawings useful but not essential.

Responsibilities:

* Assembly and testing of precision assemblies for use in the manufacture of cryosurgical medical equipment.
* Follow work instructions & assembly processes to ensure quality targets are met and enable a smooth flow of production through the work cell.
* Perform basic inspection process to ensure suitability of components.
* Collaborate and communicate with your team to ensure production deadlines and targets are met, highlighting any shortfall in parts, relevant resources or quality issues.
* Assist with picking, packing, and shipping when required.

Production Operative (Electrical Assembly)

Gosport.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm, and 8am to 1pm on Fridays.

Eligibility: candidates will need to be BPSS clearance eligible so would have had to been in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.

The client manufactures products used across the defence sector and are looking for individuals with Electrical Assembly experience as follows:

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Prepare and assemble units / PCB's (including soldering) in accordance with detailed work instruction sheets, customer specific drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret complex CCA drawings, including systems and notes
• Verify that routings and detailed Work Instruction Sheets have been followed for all activities
• Adhere to the Company's quality operating procedures at all times during the execution of day to day assembly activities, complying with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, AS9100 and NADCAP procedures where required
• Ensure compliance to the Company's Health and Safety and Environmental procedures
• Become proficient in the procedures and processes relevant to the position and to highlight training needs when required
• Act at all times in accordance with the terms and conditions described in the Employee's contract of employment
• Apply a professional and conscious approach in your day to day operations
• Engage in 5s activities as required by local supervision and other Lean events when required to do so
• Carry out any other duties commensurate with your skills

Skills/Qualifications:

• Proven and demonstrable experience of working within electronic assembly / PCB operations, ideally within the defence or aerospace sector
• A good understanding of Health and Safety Management within an engineering / manufacturing environment
• The ability to demonstrate attention to detail and produce a high standard of work, apply a 'right first time' approach
• Ideally qualified to IPC and JSTD soldering standards
• Willingness and desire to learn new skills and invest in professional development

Our client based in Alton who are the world's leading print on demand platform are looking for multiple enthusiastic individuals to join their production team on a full-time temporary basis up from October up until Christmas.
The role as a production operative will involve assembling, packing, wrapping, labelling products ready for dispatch. Full training is provided, and no experience is required.
