The Opportunity
Our Western Sydney Service Centre is looking for Team Members in our Operations team based in Erskine Park. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, you'll be working with BlueScope’s newest paint line, featuring modern equipment and automated process’ throughout the facility. You’ll be working with premium COLORBOND® products and contribute to exceeding our customers expectations by working proactively and flexibly with our operations and maintenance teams.
We are growing our team to support our new Metal Coating Line project, increasing our existing paint line operations at the Western Sydney Service Centre. This development will provide up to 240,000 tonnes of additional capacity to feed COLORBOND®, ZINCALUME® and TRUECORE® steel products, used for roofs, house frames and fencing.
This varied operator role will see you, operating machinery, troubleshooting equipment, and carrying out plant setups and isolations, with a strong focus on safety and quality. Working in a supportive team environment, you’ll contribute to exceeding our customers expectations by working proactively and flexibly with our operations and maintenance teams. We ensure that all our employees are supported with the necessary training and equipment to complete these tasks safely. This position works a desirable rotating 12-hour day and night shift, 5 days a week (no weekends!)

- collaborate with cross functional teams about plant and equipment issues
- learn to operate overhead cranes with training
