Overall Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing technical assistance for monitoring and recording the operational and contractual parameters of the process plants, aiming to ensure the safety and performance of the process plants, assisting the management of the units with information and reports as required.
Core Responsibilities:
Monitor and record the daily production of oil, natural gas and water, as well as all chemical and fuel products of consumption through the accumulation of operational data collected from the Facility Control System (FCS).
Contribute to the development of engineering reviews / studies regarding installed production systems by participating in technical meetings with engineering and suppliers, planning and executing operational tests in the platform.
Act proactively to safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to legal/regulatory requirements by ensuring MODEC's procedures, management systems, internal and external regulations, national and international standards are followed by both Production core crew and 3rd parties on board, participating in audits and inspections in the unit, developing and ensuring the implementation of action plans when required.
Participate in incident / accident investigations by collecting facts, evidence, generating reports and close-outs of preventive and corrective actions related to their function.
Develop problem solving for eventual bad performance of the process plant, as well as implement root cause analysis study, when necessary, by consulting the operational documents provided by the manufacturers or, if necessary, contacting the manufacturers own service to solve these problems and identify the root cause, avoiding recurrence.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of MdB fleet performance by participating on, when requested, RCAs, investigations of NOIs/NODs, HAZID/HAZOPs, following up or acting upon CAPAs, sharing lessons learned and promoting a culture of continuous seek for performance and integrity enhancement opportunities.
Evaluate and perform chemical analysis reports and define limits of acceptance of reports based on technical specifications and regulations, for contractual service, in addition to avoiding or minimizing fines due to non- attendance.
Continuous monitoring of the process parameter deviations acting to avoid ASD, ESD and PSD, as well as asset damage in general.
Develop necessary reports after any shutdown, with proper root cause assessment and identification.
Contribute so that onshore departments may properly act as Functional Managers of designated offshore positions for that unit, by managing the adherence of the department to Technical standards, guidelines and recommendations set by Technical Support departments, as well as communicating to Supervisors the roles and responsibilities during People management processes, as set by MdB People department.
Ensure Engineering Notes and its respective Work Orders are duly closed and detailed information is filled out in CMMS, following the appropriate templates, after the completion of every process work onboard, by updating the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Contribute to the unit's annual budget planning (expenses and investments), by participating of the corporate planning, providing information about resources, replacements, services and materials needs and other expenses used in its activities, liaising with the Production team to ensure accurate information.
Contribute to an effective response to emergencies on board by being part of the Emergency Response Team, participating in all trainings, simulations and acting properly in a real situation, in accordance with MODEC's procedures, guidelines, as well as national and international regulations and best practices.
Contribute to the MODEC’s Permit to Work management systems' implementation, by acting as Permit user of PTW for the task performed, in accordance with MODEC's procedures.
Search for continuous improvement and optimization on the process plant, reducing costs and improving safety.
If necessary, support in the activities of inspection of luggage, people and cargo on the disembark from offshore units, in compliance with NORMAM 27 – item 0115, regarding dangerous items handling.

Emergency Plan: As per indication on the Training Matrix, Emergency Management Guide and Offshore Emergency Management, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Qualifications & Experience:
Chemical Engineer Graduation is expected. If the person is not graduated In Chemical Engineer, it’ll be accept Pos graduation in Process Engineer.
Post-Graduation or Specialization on Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation is a competitive edge.
CREA/CONFEA Register is required;
Minimum 2/4/7 years' experience in hydrocarbon processing and utility systems is expected; Previous experience in Offshore Oil & Gas area is expected.
Fluency in English will have advantage as to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
