Shift & Pay Details:

Monday to Friday - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM - £12.32 per hour
Overtime: 2.30pm - 3.30pm x 1.5 hourly rate
Overtime 3.30pm - 4.30pm - x 2 hourly rate

Opportunities for overtime: on Saturdays (06.00am-1.00pm) x 1.5 hourly rate & 2 x hourly rate.

The Role
Our client manufacturers high quality concrete products for the building industry and they operate several production lines with for different products. Some of the products have reinforced steel in them and these have be prepared before they reach the production line. You will need to have the ability to learn new tasks and operate different equipment adhering to safety rules and regulations to be successful. As the warehouse uses wet concrete it is not a clean environment. You will need to keep your working area clean using 5S principals. Help maintain factory machinery and vehicles. Assist with daily cleaning tasks whilst working safely, following all health and safety guidelines, including proper lifting, wearing PPE, and reporting any equipment defects. Maintain the high quality of products by regularly inspecting them.

The Ideal Candidate
Ideally you will come from a background such as construction, roofing, scaffolding, ground-works or building however other backgrounds will be considered. You will need excellent time keeping and attendance with a self-motivated team focus attitude. The ability to learn about all the machines in the different departments and able to communicate with. The site is tasked to fulfil orders on output so you will need to work as a team to achieve these targets so you will need to work well under pressure.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, sharing ideas on how to improve production processes. You will need basic numeracy and literacy skills. For the right candidate after training and good attendance the role could become permanent. You will need to be physically fit for this role.

As Production Planner for our technical clothing brand, you will play a key role in ensuring production timelines are met, on time and in full, maintaining and building relationships with suppliers and mills to ensure strong working relationships and cooperation. You will be responsible for managing production schedules, and production planning, guaranteeing seamless operations across the supply chain. You will work closely with goods-in on bookings with Rohan suppliers and third party party suppliers. The RoleProduction Planning

Primary contact for queries relating to purchase orders, production planning and shipments.
Negotiate and propose a plan for all production schedules and delivery dates with fabric mills and vendors
Sign-off order confirmations, including cancellations, price changes and amendments to orders and communicate changes
Review production trackers shared by vendors and issues that may arise, highlighting potential delays and propose remedial actions with vendors or freight forwarders.
Manage production meeting with wider product team highlighting potential delay or risk to key stakeholders
Manage and confirm decisions on delivery shortages/ over-makes, credits or discounts where applicable.
With input and sign-off from Planning & Sourcing Manager, place all bulk fabric orders for the season.
Negotiate bulk production surcharges and discounts with suppliers and mills and updating key stakeholders.
Manage process, plan, and timings for producing and receiving marketing samples for season.

Supplier Relationship

Act as liaison between Rohan and Suppliers ensuring all related production, shipment and delivery issues are understood and executable.
Create mutually beneficial supplier relationships to effectively drive improvement in production management and delivery.
Produce end-of-season analysis on our supply base and delivery performance, and prepare reports for vendor review meetings and to share with suppliers.
Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, to review and propose improvements in supply chain efficiencies, including planning of production, shipping options and delivery planning.
Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure high-quality standards.
Monitor supplier performance through regular communication, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon standards, timelines, and contracts.
Coordinate with suppliers on the procurement of materials ensuring delivery according to production timelines.

Critical Path

Support the Planning and Sourcing Manager to communicate critical path dates to the production team and suppliers so bulk production is delivered according to the seasonal calendar.
Manage the delivery schedule in accordance with the production planning time line and communicate any issues or delays to key stakeholders across the business.
Oversee tracking and management of goods from supplier to warehouse, analysing and reporting on each critical milestone
Work with the Product Team to ensure bulk production is on track and inform any change on delivery dates to relevant internal departments.
Regularly review internal and supplier processes and implement agreed improvements to improve lead-times and deliveries.
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, retail, technical, and logistics, to align production schedules with brand needs and activities.
Communicate production delays or issues to relevant stakeholders promptly.

Shipping & Logistics

Continually review shipments each season to ensure all goods are sent via the most cost-effective method possible, within our delivery timeframe and identify areas for saving time or costs.
Review monthly costs submitted by our nominated freight forwarders and identify and propose potential savings. Counter cost where necessary.
Continually review and sign-off freight lead-times and adjustments where needed.
Review and authorise freight invoices.
Oversee shipping and delivery schedules working with Goods-in on bookings ahead of time to avoid bottlenecks at peak times

Analysis & Reporting

Generate and provide regular production status reports to management and other stakeholders.
Ensure all production documentation is organised, accessible, and updated in real time

As a Food Production Operative , you will:

No two days are the same, but here's an insight into what you'll get up to:

• Adhere to site safety and food quality standards at all times and Ensure a safe, clean and organized manufacturing environment at all times.
• Movement of raw material from picking locations to production areas. Including use of MHE, counterbalance FLT, PPT, and pedestrian pallet trucks.
• Operate loading, blending and/or packaging line equipment to blend and pack powdered food ingredients according to batch specifications.
• Manual case packing/pallet stacking of finished goods. There will be elements of manual handling involved in this task.
• Monitor process parameters such as flow rates, blending times and packaging quality to ensure product consistency and quality.
• Complete required line start up checks and perform routine equipment setup, adjustments, and maintenance to maximise efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Record production data accurately and maintain production logs for traceability and quality
• Control purposes.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.
• Use of process Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at various stages throughout the manufacturing process. Scanning raw material into relevant loading/blending stations.
