The role
As a Senior Production Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have the opportunity to provide structure to a team of engineers working on some fascinating projects across all areas of Devonport Royal Dockyard in support of the Royal Navy Submarine and Warship programmes.
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for leading the Production Engineering team, following up on orders and design briefs whilst assuring the team successfully meets its objectives and set targets.
- Planning pre-production of orders to enable manufacture to customer specification
- Identify risk to ensure timely customer delivery
- Maintaining health and safety records of staff
- Ensuring all equipment/assets comply with service and test dates
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Senior Production Engineer
- Previous experience as a Production Engineer
- A good understanding of factory manufacturing processes
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Computer Literate
Qualifications for the Senior Production Engineer
- HNC or equivalent level, in an Engineering / Technical Subject or as determined by the Production manager due to previous relevant experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
