Immediate start required. We are looking for several Production Operatives to join a Company who are experts in the design and manufacture of instrumentation for the life science industry.

The successful Production Operatives will have a good level of communication and be able to work on a weekly rolling shift pattern. Week 1 on the day shift is 6AM till 2PM and Week 2 on the evening shift is 2PM till 10PM. You will also have your own transport and a valid driving licence.

Full training will be provided for the Production Operative on both manual and machine working. As you will be working in a clean room environment, you will be required to wear full personal protective equipment. You will be able to adapt to working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

The company are currently offering competitive overtime rates.

Please note: Public transport is extremely limited to this location, therefore a driving license is essential.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:


During the initial 3 months in this role, many tasks are learned and skills developed. Primary functions are the masking and/or de-masking of customer product being coated. Other duties may include cleaning, surface preparation and inspection.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


· Understand and follow the designated processes, work instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSP’s) and other written and/or verbal instructions.

· Perform basic masking/de-masking and inspection tasks using methods and materials as specified in the designated processes using small hand tools, microscope and /or other support equipment.

· Successfully complete Masker certification in accordance with internal documentation. Training will be provided


· Inspect own work for quality compliance

· Inspect own work for quality compliance.

· Comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling requirements when required and appropriate.

· Maintain a high level of punctuality and attendance.


ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


· May perform daily tasks in a clean room environment where compliance to clean room protocol, including PPE and hygiene standards will be required.

· May perform scheduled clean room maintenance.

· Maintain a high level of personal hygiene.


· Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

· May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.

BASIC SKILLS:

· Must clearly speak, read and write English


· Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence and memos.


· Ability to perform basic math functions.


· Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods of time.


· High degree of manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination in order to perform precision masking and de-masking functions.


· Ability to distinguish between the colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, green and violet.

The successful Production Operatives will have a good level of communication and be able to work on a night shift from 10pm to 6am.

You will also have your own transport and a valid driving license.
