The role

• Line ownership with responsibilities for key KPI including Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost.
• Lead the introduction of new products and processes (NPI)
• Conduct problem solving and hold Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
• Managing safety, quality and process improvements on an assembly line.
• Identify, define and implement process quality and process design steps in line with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements
• Identify, purchase and co-ordinate the installation of tooling, equipment, machinery and capital expenditure projects
• Ensure that Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles are applied through the product development process
• Ensure new product and process implementations meet safety requirements
• Ensure accurate new product costing through Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing accuracy
• Co-ordinate and implement complex engineering changes

Requirements

THE ROLE

The position is an Operator. You will support the business by machine operating ensuring that all materials are produced to standard. Some of your duties will include:

- Operating machines to manipulate metal housings for electrical items (Brake Press, CNC ETC)

- You will also carry out spot welding of the above items

- By carrying out these duties you will be completing finished goods such as fire alarms, or other electronic/digital solutions

- You will adhere to KPI's set by your line leader or team manager in order to achieve business targets

- Carry out any other reasonable task requested by your line leader or team leader

- You will also assemble components and assist with the production team

THE PERSON

You will be required to work with minimum supervision, adopting a positive and proactive approach to ensure the business achieves it's KPI's and related targets. An excellent attitude is required for this role as there is an opportunity for you to be offered permanent employment.

- The person will work to set KPI's and other related targets the business may set
