For the successful Production Planner our client is offering:
• Up to £37,000 per annum DOE
• Days shifts (39 hours per week)
• Permanent Position
• Potential for some flexibility in start/finish times
• Opportunity for progression
• Early finish on Fridays
The role - Production Planner:
• Direct responsibility for planning, scheduling, and coordinating factory manufacturing activity across multiple departments
• Schedule manufacturing orders and ensure internal schedules and customer requirements are met
• Plan and execute the flow of procured material from the supplier into the factory ensuring inventory performance to targets
• Negotiate purchase order supplier quotes to achieve purchasing productivity and supplier cost management
• Manage inventory to ensure strategic inventory design targets are on plan
• Manage assigned product to meet customer service and inventory plans
• Report on key responsibilities and key process indicators
What our client is looking for in a Production Planner:
• Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience in planning and procurement - ESSENTIAL
• An excellent understanding of materials, mechanics, and production manufacturing processes
• Highly literate and numerate, able to investigate problems and analyse data
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of ERP Systems - ESSENTIAL
