The Acuity Senior Cloud Platform Engineer serves as a technical lead for mission-critical production information system operations, ensuring that Acuity cloud services, platforms, and networks meet or surpass customer requirements for availability, performance, and secure operation on a 24x7x365 basis.
Responsibilities
The candidate will work closely with Acuity leadership, information technology and program stakeholders, and Acuity clients to securely manage US cloud-based production platforms in support of a range of missions and business services. The role includes day-to-day management and operation of Acuity Salesforce and Azure cloud platforms, including off-hours, on-call, and weekend work as required.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams to define and continuously refine operational practices for Acuity cloud platform and architecture
- Build, operate, and manage Acuity secure cloud platforms using approved architectures
- Apply production operations and cybersecurity practices in alignment with Acuity business objectives
- Ensure the integrity and secure operation of Acuity identity management, administration, security, and business-supporting cloud systems
- Support secure customer single- and multi-tenant applications and programs at the FedRAMP High baseline of operations.
- Support cloud platform applications in coordination with site reliability engineering and DevOps release management in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model.
Qualifications:
Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of modern IT and IT security technologies and infrastructures, including server virtualization, containerization, software-defined networks, zero trust architectures, and integrated telephony
- In-depth understanding of public and US Government cloud platforms (Azure, Salesforce, AWS)
- Experience with highly available software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery models and service level agreements
- Solid understanding of business management processes, including employing information security risk management and cybersecurity technologies
Education/Experience
- Minimum of eight years of experience in information technology engineering, production operations, and architecture
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or comparable professional experience
- Demonstrated leadership within a small, highly focused team to achieve business goals
- Experience in leading within a fast-paced, complex organization
