CACI is seeking a Production Engineer who, under limited direction, will manage and maintain the overall production strategy and processes for the Navy's next-generation SIGINT, EMW, and IO weapon system.
What You’ll Get to Do:
•Provide engineering staff leadership and oversight, to include selection, performance management, career development, and workload management
•Provide leadership and direction as an active member of the production staff in the development of strategic initiatives and support the Production Manager
•Work with the Spectral program Quality Assurance Manger to drive and support AS9100 initiatives and quality objectives
•Lead and support equipment and facilities expansion and enhancement as needed
•Implement process capability monitoring and improvement, to include the use of statistical process control
•Provide direction in problem solving, product or process characterization, process efficiency improvements and continuous improvement activities
•Drive optimization of products for improved manufacturability, cycle time, and cost reductions
•Work with engineering and design teams to mature and promote manufacturing readiness in keeping with the DoD MRL Deskbook and the DoD PRR Risk Assessment Checklist
•Support the preparation for the Spectral Production Readiness Review (PRR)
•Work with engineering to negotiate product specifications and print acceptance criteria
•Responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing engineering budgets, schedules, and resource planning
•Travel to other CACI Locations, Spectral offices, and/or customer sites, as necessary (< 10% Travel)
•Perform other duties, as required
•Possesses a current TS//SCI security clearance
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
•Proven experience leading a team of highly skilled manufacturing and test engineers
•Developed manufacturing labor and material proposals in compliance to DFAR regulations
•Ability to lead all team members though the process of solving manufacturing and test engineering issues
•Proven ability to influence design for manufacturing changes
•Proven ability to prepare and present Manufacturing Readiness & Test Readiness Reviews
•Proven ability to prepare and present Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) and MRL questionnaires in compliance to DOD MRL Deskbook standards
•Experience with ensuring engineering designs are compatible with manufacturing operation tools (i.e. MRP, INFOR)
•Performed Employee Performance appraisals
•Knowledgeable in strategic planning for production efforts
•Performed capacity planning for product lines
•Understanding of SIGINT, Communications, EMW, and/or IO manufacturing and test concepts
•Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100
•Highly self-motived with the ability to drive projects to completion
•Strong oral and written presentation skills
•Ability to lead, as well as work independently in a team environment
•Experience in the development of new product from concept to production
•Well versed in utilizing all Microsoft software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
•Minimum 10 years of experience managing complex DOD production projects
•Four-year engineering degree (BS) from an accredited college
•Ability to work in office full time
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•In depth knowledge of complex SIGINT, EW, and/or IO systems manufacturing
•Knowledge of production test set and software development techniques
•Well versed in Lean Manufacturing with certification preferred
•Familiar with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), risk management and change management processes
•Skilled in applying analytical and statistical tools such as Mini Tab, FRACAS and DOE
•Experience with Earned Value Management
•Experience applying learning curves to labor proposals
•Able to interpret and execute upon complex MS Project schedules
•Knowledge in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) and product realization
•Familiarity with INFOR Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
•Hands on experience with CACI manufacturing/test equipment and tooling design
•Understands Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations
•Experience in Navy Acquisitions and Productization
•Holds an MBA
