Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates or modifies documentation and establishes standard procedures and work instructions for the fabrication and build of the product.
- Works with the production team in a “hands-on” fashion, supporting the build of product and communicating design deficiencies and or recommendations for simplification to the design teams
- Develop Bills of operation (routings) for all products including time studies and efficiency evaluations
- Primary support for Vendors or sub-contract partners with manufacturing or Quality issues
- Primary lead on insourcing, outsourcing or resourcing activities.
- Problem solving in any manufacturing issues
Education and Experience Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Strong problem-solving ability
Proficient in the design and implementation of work instructions and quality control procedures.
Proficient in Solidworks and/or other drawing packages desired.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
Experience with ERP systems Oracle/SAP etc is helpful
