JOB DESCRIPTION: The Talent Development Specialist would focus on the development and implementation of training assets for internal clients and company initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and executes learning programs, courses, and solutions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; focused on Crew Member success and impact
- Collaborates with leaders and key stakeholders across functional areas to understand specific learning and development needs, Helps determine appropriate training delivery methods and creates learning in a variety of formats
- Facilitates training to talent at all levels within the organization using a variety of instructional methods including instructor led facilitation, virtual workshops, asynchronous e-learning, on the job training etc.
- Video Production: Take ownership of the end-to-end video production process, including planning, build shot lists, scripting from scratch, storyboarding, shooting, editing, and post-production
- Content Creation: Develop innovative and visually compelling video content that aligns with the learning objectives and target audience, incorporating various formats such as animations, live-action, interviews, demonstrations, and simulations
- Video Editing and Post-production: Utilize professional video editing software and tools to refine and enhance raw footage, add graphics, animations, sound effects, music, voiceovers, and subtitles as necessary
- Equipment Management: Maintain and organize video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio recording devices, and editing software/hardware
- Multimedia Integration: Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate video content seamlessly into broader learning materials and platforms, such as e-learning modules, presentations, and virtual classrooms
- Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in video production, multimedia, and e-learning to continually improve the quality and impact of our video content
- Serves as the primary administrator for training programs and supports administrative efforts with training related technology systems and programs including the Learning Management System, assessments, surveys etc.
- Help ensure training strategies and initiatives are in alignment with Five Below company culture supported by the company’s Purpose & Core Values
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of adult learning principles: Understanding how adults learn, different learning styles, and designing training programs that appeal to all types of learners
- Experience facilitating and developing learning programs along with support materials (slide decks, job aids, facilitator guides, etc.)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of video production experience
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and other relevant tools for motion graphics and audio editing.
- Strong storytelling and scriptwriting skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner
- Proficiency in filming technology as well as Microsoft Office, Excel & Power Point
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms, learning management systems, and multimedia integration in a learning context
- Ability to operate independently and work cohesively with internal departments in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong people skills and well organized to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
