Job title: Manufacturing Controller
Carbon60 are working with a UK defence company who specialise in designing and producing missiles and missile systems on a site based in Stevenage, UK. As a Manufacturing Controller, you'd be responsible for issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory in a store's environment. Loading, control and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing environment.
This role would be perfect for someone with experience in a warehouse supervisor role/Inventory controller. As this role is within the defence industry, the successful candidate will have to be a British National.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Stock control / storekeeping including shelf life control.
- Loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, in order to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules.
- Packing including the use of hand tools. Receiving and issuing of tooling.
- Updating computer records.
- Kitting activity.
- Loading and unloading of Lorries.
Skillset/experience required:
- Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.
- Follow instructions.
- Willing to work flexible shift patterns.
- Attention to detail.
- Work on own with minimal supervision.
- Use own initiative.
- Manual handling training.
- ESD training.
Location: Stevenage
Duration: 12-months
Salary: £16.63 rising to £17.60 PAYE (£22.35 - £23.64 Umbrella)
