We are looking for a Business Director to join us on our journey. This is a newly-created role, reporting directly into our Hong Kong Market Director, that focuses on delivering world class deliverables to our clients while upskilling and providing guidance to our talents ensuring their growth and reaching their full potential.
Our ideal candidate is an articulate senior talent in the media agency domain with solid experience in integrated marketing channels including both online & offline best practices with branding activation expereince. We are looking for somebody with solid digital knowledge who can connect the dots with traditional media in an increasingly omnichannel world, who is immersed in data and technology and who is at the bleeding edge of industry innovation.
Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ON ANY GIVEN DAY
- Create New Opportunities:
- Support Business growth and efficiency
- Delivering client billing and resource in line with targets
- Lead multi-channel strategy and planning, and work alongside channel teams to implement it
- Drive proposals and support in winning new business
- Retain & Build Lasting Relationships:
- Act as a senior client contact and point of escalation. Working to maintain & strengthen excellent client relationships at all levels
- Lead the strategic dialogue with your client, connecting with planners and the activation team to deliver both effective results and innovative solutions
- Ensure excellent delivery of all cross-channel work in a timely manner
- Keep abreast of channel and product updates within the agency, ensuring these are communicated to the client where appropriate
- Ensure Client contractual obligations, service levels and performance are maintained
- Work with the APAC Managing Director and Channel Heads to ensure optimal resource across Clients
- Manage the client P&L for the Hong Kong office, with support from the APAC Managing Director
- Grow Your Clients Business & Ours:
- Recognise opportunities to advance our client engagements and work alongside the Account Managers, Market Directors and Channel Heads to maximise these
- Act as partner for the client, and strive for new and innovative opportunities to drive the client’s business
- Grow Your Team & Collaborate with wider teams across APAC:
- Develop and grow our local team
- Support the development of the team below and around you, providing mentorship, coaching and direction to the office
- Grow each team and their capacity, and improve working methods to increase efficiency
- Be part of the wider community and collaborate with other functions and offices on various projects
- 8 + years in both digital & offline marketing across multiple channels (Paid Search, Social Media, Display/Programmatic, branding)
- Solid agency experience
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Strong experience in managing teams and development of staff
- Confident client facing ability
- Excel at building relationships, both internally and with clients themselves
- Experience managing retail and/or travel clients
- Strong numerical skills and commercially aware
- Results and target driven with excellent attention to detail
- Able to prioritise and multi-task, working with all agency departments as well as independently
- Fluent English. Cantonese and/or Mandarin is also preferred
