KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assistant to the Department Head: Formulate and implement improvement plans for your own department in collaboration with other departments, and summarize the improvements in a report
- Production Scheduling and Materials Management: Oversee production schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Ensure materials needed for production are ordered, for timely delivery of the products
- Production Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) related to production output, yield and quality. Analyze data to identify trends, address deviations working with subordinates and report to the department head
- Factory Automation: Implement factory automation plan, in collaboration with Equipment Eng team, and continuously improve it towards the goal of achieving lights-out automation
- Production Capacity Improvement: Plan and implement improvements to production capacity
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements and implement quality improvement measures to minimize defects and rework
- Manufacturing Cost Reduction: Devise and implement plans to reduce manufacturing costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety
- Work Environment Improvement (Safety and Hygiene): Enhance the safety and hygiene of the workplace. Create and revise work procedures
- Facility Troubleshooting: Collaborate with related departments to resolve facility issues
- Directing Shift Leaders: Provide appropriate instructions to shift leaders. Ensure thorough communication of information to subordinates
- Emergency Contact: Contact relevant parties according to the communication plan in case of emergencies
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent qualifications and experience
- Experience in similar roles within a manufacturing department is a plus
- SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
- Proficient in using computers, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating documents
- Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., IATF, ISO)
- Basic understanding of Environmental Management Systems
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety is desirable
- Understanding of chemicals regulations (laws, SDS, GHS) is desirable
- Basic understanding of Business Continuity Planning (BCP)

- Ability to listen to many people and give appropriate instructions
- Ability to report necessary information such as problem points and production progress to the department head
- Capable of devising and implementing improvement plan
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to interact with multiple departments
- A cooperative personality is desirable
- Generally works on weekdays in a day-shift pattern, but may be required to work on holidays as per supervisory instructions
- May work in a cleanroom environment
