Our CACI office in Florham Park, NJ has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer will, under limited direction, support the manufacturing of space qualified laser-based electro-optical products including Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Fiber Optic Assemblies, and Mechanical items.
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Manufacturing process owner with responsibility for process development and qualification, documentation, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, technician training and custom tool design.
- Create and maintain configuration-controlled manufacturing documentation of sub-assembly, and system level BOM structures throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Create and maintain documents related to the products, such as work instructions, production travelers, errata, and specifications.
- Work with team members to provide direction, technical guidance, action item resolution and project status reporting
- Host meetings that bring together the proper resources needed to achieve complex tasks
- Author Technical and Labor Cost proposals for production manufacturing in support of new business
- Provide technical inputs to support Preliminary and Critical Design reviews.
- Develop and present Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs)
- Execute Continuous Improvement projects that drive cost reduction
- Procure and setup capital equipment
- Develop Facility Layout drawings and equipment requirements for new business
- Collaborate with design engineering ensure design for manufacturability and testability is achieved.
- Participate in Engineering Design Review meetings
- Collaborate with Design Engineering, Components Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to address End of Life, DMSMS and other material resource issues are resolved without impact to production
- Understand and adhere to all CACI Ethical and Compliance policies.
- Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to CACI EH&S policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as required.
- If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology with focus in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.
- Must have experience in Optical and Electro-Optical Product Manufacturing from a process owner perspective
- Experience with AS9100
- Experience manufacturing D.O.D hardware
- Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools e.g. Oracle.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self -starter and able to manage multiple competing demands.
- Ability to work well with others at all levels in the company.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in written on technical subject matter.
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows software applications and other software applications as required.
- Experience with Optical and Electro-Optical Product Manufacturing.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment which requires proper safety precautions. Work requires some physical effort in the handling of materials, boxes, or equipment.
- This job requires the employee to perform all duties at work. Work from home is not an option.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$78,700 - $165,300
