CACI is looking for an Manufacturing Engineer to join our Photonics Ops South team in Orlando, Fl. At Photonics Ops South Division, we specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art communications systems for military, space, and commercial applications. Our products include optical as well as RF communication systems.
What You’ll Get to Do:
In this position you will preform the following:
- Lead fabrication process development, documentation, ECOs, process training and responsibility to maintain production yield, quality and cleanliness.
- Interfacing with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.
- Drive cost reduction and commit the best process control to make top quality products for customers.
- Directing support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing tasks.
- Plan and support the build and modification of electronics systems including procurement support, assembly method/work instructions generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, and resolution of manufacturing, quality and reliability issues.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 4-6 years of working experience in Optics Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar industrial field.
- Knowledge of process control, cleanroom operation protocol, and process control for complex opto-mechanical assembly.
- Actively thinking and acting independently to propose or translate ideas and new concepts into tangible results of processes.
- Excellent communication and ability to work well in team environment with people at all levels.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies IPC-610, IPC-620, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, NASA Spec.
