JOB PURPOSE
The Buyer/Planner will assist the purchasing team in managing supplier relationships with regards to the purchase of goods and/or services for manufacturing purposes. The Buyer/Planner will track and analyze metrics and/or data for process improvements. The Buyer/Planner will plan, prepare, and place purchase orders and production jobs in ERP system and completes various transactions as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties as tasks as needed and assigned.
General procurement functions:
Place replenishment orders for sustaining parts
Expedite existing purchase orders
Confirm PO and promise date with suppliers
Manage updates and send out supplemental documentation for orders: drawings, RIR, instructions, T&C, etc.
Attend weekly MRB meetings and support / coordinate RTV transactions
Provide backup and support to other buyers as needed
Receive and interpret inputs from Demand Planning
Use ASCP to create the supply plan based on said inputs
Execute the supply plan in a timely manner, ensuring supplier alignment
Directly responsible for SKU on hand levels
Directly responsible for driving incoming orders from PO placement to stock on shelf
Monitors and drives incoming inventory flow at distribution partner
Monitors and drives incoming inventory flow at internal operations facility
Directly responsible for supplier OTIF performance
Manages DSR per supplier
Manages OOR per supplier
Manages Forecast per supplier
Directly responsible for supplier review cadences, monthly or quarterly
Directly responsible for ensuring PO placement aligns with actual supplier ability based on supplier capacity planning
Directly responsible for driving supplier capacity planning
Directly responsible for driving continuous improvement to gain capacity and efficiency where needed
Responsible for ensuring alignment between Oracle and supplier MOQs
Responsible for achieving optimal pricing based on purchasing patterns and forecasted demand
Responsible for strategic supply base planning i.e. removing business from non-performers, making “grow” suggestions for top performers, and rebalancing business between suppliers based on capacity
Responsible for working cross functionally to ensure that we have the right material in the right place at the right time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.
Education/Certifications:
Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:
1-2 years’ experience in procurement
Must have a full understanding of MRP functionality
Must have Capacity Planning experience
Must be proficient using MS-Office
Must have good communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred
APICS, NAPM, or ISM preferred

The anticipated salary for this position for an employee who is located in California is $62,800 to $69,280 per year, plus bonus, based on performance, and benefits. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc. The Company is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect the pay scale for an employee who works in other states or locations.
