About the Role (Your Why)
The Workforce Optimisation team is responsible for several outsourced projects and services for some of our biggest clients in Datacom. We have a bigger purpose—not only are we focused on delivering awesome business outcomes, but we are also thinking, planning, and taking action on revolutionising the technology industry!
The Workforce Planning Manager is responsible for analysing, forecasting, and planning workforce supply and demand, as well as talent needs and gaps, to ensure that an organisation has the right people with the right skills to support its business objectives.
Our offices are based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. Therefore, we leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
Please note that to be successful in this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain a Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
What you’ll do
The Workforce Planning Manager is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Analysing, implementing, and monitoring workforce planning initiatives to optimise and scale the evolving workforce and long-range plans.
- Collaborating with business leaders, strategic planning, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders across the company to review existing and future workforce needs and to ensure alignment with business objectives and financial goals.
- Collecting, interpreting, and evaluating workforce metrics to provide data-driven insights for internal and external talent pool assessments, headcount reviews, forecasting and business scenario planning, reviewing processes, and monitoring plan effectiveness.
- Lead the development, execution, and communication of the company’s workforce planning roadmap to optimise and scale an evolving global workforce and to create strategic long-range plans.
- Oversee workforce planning initiatives, including headcount metrics analysis, internal and external talent assessments, forecasting, plan roll-out, processes, and controls.
- Selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience with workforce planning and scheduling in a large complex organisation – Ideally within a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment
- Strong understanding of business requirements with an appreciation of business strategy, forecasting and workforce behaviour
- Ability to work on moderately complex assignments, requiring judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations.
- Assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
- Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members across different business units
- Blend of commercial, technical, and consulting skills.
- Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation, and project revenue
