About the Role
Base Location: Flexible UK with extensive travel, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key sites, which includes but is not limited to: Yorkshire, North West, West Midlands, Midlands.
Salary: Up to £68,200 + car / allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The Solar & Battery Construction Project Manager is a key role within the Solar and Battery Delivery team, responsible for a variety of technical and project delivery tasks, supporting the Construction Manager. Principally you will be supporting the Delivery Team in maintaining assigned project compliance across a range of technical platforms that support the Delivery function. You will also support the enabling requirements of projects through the preparation and submission of the REMIT, BEGA, Generation License and CUSC regulatory requirements.
The Project Manager role will be varied and often fast paced with changing priorities.
Key Accountabilities may include:
- Executing specific project(s) from refinement through execution, including key project deliverables up to and including the handover to the Asset Management team in line with company policy and UK Regulations and Legislations.
- Having accountability for the project on various digital project tools such as the Document Management, Contract Management and Project Directors Reports and project reporting cycles.
- Representing the Delivery team on Acquisitions and Development phase projects, working with Engineering on the selection of appropriate technologies and solutions to meet project requirements, onsite coordination of key surveys & studies, supporting the acquisition of land rights & wayleaves, and submission of Planning Applications.
- Preparing and submitting key project Gate documentation, including project programmes, costs, resource schedules and relevant plans in line with Project Governance Requirements.
- Building and maintaining productive and enduring relationships with Contractors, Stakeholders, Communities & the public to support sustainable delivery of projects.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Preferably experience in the electricity energy industry, utility construction, or the utilities sector on major projects. Experience of the Solar and Battery sector an advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage delegated aspects of a major project through development and construction in accordance to NEC3 / FIDIC conditions of contract working with aligned consultants and contractors.
- Familiar with Project Management techniques such as APM, PMI.
- Experience of having worked a team in an office environment to ensure various tasks which relate to others are completed to defined timescales and standards.
- Worked in an environment where understanding of multiple processes is required to be able to deliver outcomes of the role.
