I am working with a inclusive and innovative KS3 and KS4 Pupil Referral Unit who is looking for a committed School Business Manager who can make a difference in the workplace.

This school is a centre of excellence in alternative provision offering academic and vocational qualifications to students from within the local authority, alongside a short stay provision to provide supportive interventions for identified mainstream students, and an outreach team providing targeted support to secondary students within mainstream schools.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

- Management of the strategy and operation of business functions within the school, including ICT

- Financial Management, including budget and procurement

- Ensuring maintenance of Health and Safety, facilities management

- Human resources management

- General management of team and administration

Experience required:

• Experience of managing a budget of £3.5million +
• Experience of proactively commissioning and developing partnerships with external providers of services
• Experience of negotiating and agreeing contracts
• Experience working in a school or college setting at a management level
• Experience of working with local authorities, parents, professionals and other stakeholders within an educational setting
• Experience of effectively leading and managing people

This is a full time, 52 week permanent role with the opportunity to work from home during the holidays.

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our team in Luton, acting as the trusted advisor to the Operations team and supporting the Finance Business Partners.

You will be expected to create legible and informative reports, ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of contracts are clear to all parties, supporting the delivery of projects.

As an Assistant Finance Business Partner you’ll be:

• Assisting in providing financial business partnering to the Operational Leads to ensure their strategic and operational financial goals are delivered.
• Ensuring that that all contracts are correctly accounted for, and closely monitored.
• Assisting in completion of month end and subsequent delivery of high-quality monthly management accounts and reporting, including headcount reporting, variance analysis and appropriate commentary.
• Monitoring and reporting of commercial issues and procedures through monthly contract reviews.
• Supporting management of budget and continually identify ways to improve cost performance.
• Ad-hoc analysis and projects to support the needs of the business.

As an Assistant Finance Business Partner you’ll have:

• Ability to work with transactional detail with management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
• Experience with translating large amounts of data into tables and legible reports.
• Knowledge of accounting systems and intermediate MS Excel including Pivot Tables and V-lookups
• Initiative and influences change through an “investigative” and “can do” approach and attitude to all tasks
• Resilience and able to work in an organisation that is undergoing change due to development and growth.
• An accountancy qualification ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA is preferred
