Are you an experienced project manager with a strong background delivering complex mobilisation and transition projects? - Proven experience in bidding, mobilisations, and transitions.

Business Support LeadHook
- hybrid Full Time, Permanent Up to £40,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
Here at Serco, we are seeking a Business Support Lead to provide comprehensive executive and business administrative support to the Chief Services Officer of Serco United Kingdom & Europe (UK&E); The role will also support the Senior Leadership Team of the Data, Digital & Technology Team.

This role requires an individual with strong organisation sills, initiative to improve administrative processes, structured and proactive forward thinking, and sound commercial judgment, with the ability to work independently. Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups is a must.

As part of this you’ll:


- Show excellent organisation skills, including extensive diary and meeting management (including planning and preparation), using Outlook and Teams and working in multiple time zones with appropriate sensitivity
- Prioritising conflicting needs effectively and handles matters expeditiously, diplomatically, and proactively
- Responsible for exercising appropriate levels of confidentiality and discretion in disseminating information and answering queries, is tactful and discreet in dealing with matters of a sensitive nature
- Point of contact for Chief Services Officer internally and externally
- Act at all times as a representative of the office of the Chief Services Officer
- Support with drafting e-mails, correspondence, presentations, reports, and formatting documents to professional standards and in line with Serco brand guidelines
- Ability to use graphics and video creating technology/tools is highly desirable.
- Scheduling Monthly and Quarterly Performance Review meetings for the year
- Liaise with Serco colleagues for the preparation of Monthly performance review reports, project documentation and correspondence
- Ensure all on-boarding requirements (including induction meetings) for new starters within the leadership team are fulfilled and completed on time
- Co-ordinate and plan offsite Team events within budget
- Maintain Executive and Team compliance with company policies and procedures
- Organise domestic and international travel/accommodation bookings according to policy via Concur; Monthly expenses reconciliation using Concur
- Co-ordinate small projects as required
- Process outgoing purchase orders and incoming invoices via SAP Guided Buying

What you’ll need to do the role:

- Extensive demonstratable executive management support assistance in a similar role
- (5 plus years)
- Experience in a Technology, Engineering team environment is highly desirable.
- High level written and oral communication skills
- Ability to draft documentation at professional standards is essential
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage people
- Independent and self-driven
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to work
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Teams, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to use a Graphics or video creating software is highly desirable
- Understanding of finance management
- Working knowledge of SAP, Concur (for travel and expenses) is desirable
- Degree level qualification is desirable.

Global Process Lead – Financial Planning & Analysis Hybrid – Attached to Hook, Hampshire Full Time, Permanent Circa £80,000 (dependent on experience)

Here at Serco, we are seeking an experienced Global Process Lead to support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in the implementation of enterprise-wide vision, strategy and performance objectives for the end-to-end forecasting and budgeting process. You will actively gather and recommend best practices, alongside proposing and implementing improvements to ensure appropriate stakeholders are part of the planning and implementation process.

In this key role you will take full accountability for the effective operation of the global process, ensuring the defined outcomes of the Global Process Owner (GPO) and heads of FP&A are delivered effectively. The role is empowered to fix issues, drive improvements and fully embed yourself in the end-to-end.

There is a great opportunity to drive significant improvements for Serco in this role, developing your knowledge of the operations of this large diverse business whilst supporting the business to move to the next level in their plans.
As part of this you’ll:


- Act as the vital link between our offshore BPO partner and the business, ensuring that they deliver to their requirements, but also to lead changes to those processes and drive global process standardisation
- Support the GPO and heads of FP&A in the development of the vision, strategy, policy and objectives for the global FP&A process
- Drive key improvement initiatives to improve FP&A processes and their governance
- Work with the business to understand their future strategies and how the FP&A processes might need to adjust to reflect their changes
- Play an active part in the monthly FP&A process ensuring it operates effectively
- Identify training gaps with the BPO or retained finance team and put in place remediation
- Manage forecast and budget process communication
- Proactively engage with stakeholders (including within the BPO) seeking feedback on key FP&A activities

What you’ll need to do the role:

- You will need to be a qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience of process ownership within a similar industry
- End-to-end knowledge of FP&A processes
- Extensive in-depth practical knowledge of end-to-end forecasting and budgeting processes
- Experience of leading finance or business change projects
- A strong passion for systems including an understanding of and application within the forecasting process (BPC knowledge highly desirable but not essential)
- Ability and interest in helping to build financial models in the budgeting/forecasting area
- Leadership capabilities and personal gravitas
- Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers and key business stakeholders
