FM Conway is currently searching for an experienced Planner to join our Major Projects division. As our Planner you will offer planning support to the Estimating, Bid Writing, Construction, and Commercial teams for PQQs, tenders, and construction projects. This is a full time, permanent position based at our Head Office in Sevenoaks.
The duties of the Planner role will include
Participating in internal and external meetings to represent the Planning Team and offer guidance and information on programme-related matters
- Using Asta Powerproject unless the client has indicated a preference for an alternative planning software
- Developing tender programmes and a resource schedule required to meet the tender timeline, which can be used to cross-check against the tender allowances produced by the estimating software
- Creating the initial construction programme, ensuring alignment with contract conditions, key dates, phasing, and other requirements
- Collaborating with the Contracts Manager and construction team to review the impact of the programme update and agree on any necessary adjustments or mitigation measures before submitting it to the client
What we’re looking for in our Planner
We are looking for candidates with prior experience as a Planner who can use Asta Powerproject and Microsoft Project software to create high-quality programmes. This role is fast-paced and requires the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Success in this position demands strong IT skills, commercial awareness, and excellent planning abilities.
