The role
As a Business Winning Engineering Manager you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.
Day-to-day, you'll lead the planning and management of engineering input into multi discipline bids. This role leads the engineering team to deliver technical solutions to meet budget, targets and governance. This includes defining, estimating, and programming the engineering scope delivery for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). The management responsibilities include the identification and development of strategic capabilities (people, processes, methods and tools) to meet bidding and delivery objectives.
- Be accountable for management and delivery of engineering solutions to feed into the bid submission
- Adhere to Health & Safety standards and be fully familiar with all authorised documentation, Good Practice Guides and ISO standards.
- Ensure effective management of engineering disciplines to ensure timely & efficient delivery of engineering work to meet bid requirements and timescales
- Promote effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teams
- Maintain knowledge of Industry best practice, promote a culture of Engineering best practice and provide leadership and assist in driving cultural development and change
This role is full time 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Business Winning Senior Engineering Manager
- Demonstrable management experience, including experience in managing multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
- Previous experience of working in a business winning environment
Desirable experience of the Business Winning Senior Engineering Manager
- Member of relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council
- Experience in managing engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
