A great opportunity has become available for a Business Development Director working for Europcar.
You need to have a full driving licence with a minimum of 4 years driving experience.
Responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities within these key sectors, this individual will be spear-heading our activity in these markets. Working in a professional and fast-paced sales environment, you need to have a proactive approach, a strong work ethic and a resilient attitude. Attention to detail and the ability to complete industry tenders is a key requirement as well as being results driven. Clear communicator with the aptitude to gain trust & confidence of prospects and colleagues across all levels and the ability to articulate the full suite of mobility solutions in a compelling manner. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple prospects at different stages of the sales cycle.
The successful candidate will have excellent commercial awareness, large scale tender experience, and have the ability to handle objections, negotiate and close.

Main duties of the role:
- Responsible for building profitable corporate business by executing effective sales and marketing strategies
- Ensure that Europcar brands, product and service offering is sold at the highest level and Europcar Group UK well represented, whilst having a clear understanding of the marketplace and its requirements
- To have an effective coordinated approach with Marketing to maximise market opportunities and ensure that all supporting materials and approaches are best in class
- Achieving targeted revenue and margin
- Responsible for the management of new business tender opportunities
- Monitoring the marketplace to ensure Europcar's market-leading position is maintained
- Set clear sales goals in conjunction with the company's strategy and plan work with all departments to ensure support
- Maintain and nurture strong relationships across departments through ongoing collaboration
- Ensure weekly calls are maximised to meet productivity targets
- Ensure Salesforce and any other sales tools are completely up to date and are fed back through clear concise reporting
- Ensure all reports are on time and of appropriate quality
- Liaise regularly with our colleagues at Group to ensure any international opportunities benefit from a collaborative approach
- Strong teamwork skills are essential, to ensure effective collaboration, open communication, and the ability to leverage diverse perspectives within the team to drive success
Key skills and attributes required:
- The drive and focus to meet and exceed revenue and contribution plans
- An excellent understanding of the UK car rental marketplace, with full understanding of competitor activity
- Self-motivation, passion and a clear desire to succeed
- Excellent communication skills both internal and external
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills to achieve and exceed revenue budgets and improve contribution
- Strong written skills to support tender submissions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise time accordingly to key areas of focus
