SUMMARY
The Senior SharePoint and PowerBI Developer will join a small cross-functional delivery team to design, develop, and deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations for a federal client in Washington, DC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Designs and develops reports, dashboards, and visualizations to help clients derive insights and make timely business decisions.
Designs and develops Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
Reads and interprets data schemas and data models.
Leads or contributes to a fast-paced agile delivery team.
Presents complex ideas and solutions to clients in a clear and concise manner.
Explores and finds creative solutions to difficult problems.
Leverages an empathetic and thoughtful approach to teamwork and collaboration.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and a minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Advanced degrees in IT or Statistics preferred.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATION
Must be able to obtain a customer clearance (Homeland Security) investigation for access to facilities, equipment, and property.
Relevant Microsoft Certifications preferred.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Proficient skills in building and deploying SharePoint solutions.
Proficient knowledge of SharePoint 2013 as well as related technologies (i.e., Web Parts, Master Pages, MMS, SharePoint Designer).
Operational knowledge and understanding required to create site definitions and SharePoint site configurations / customizations.
Advanced operational knowledge and understanding of SharePoint object models and systems development life cycle (SDLC).
Working knowledge and understanding of (or ability to quickly grasp) SharePoint Governance support, and back-office application support.
Working knowledge with ability to develop Windows SharePoint (WSP) packages for deployment to staging and test environments.
Knowledge and understanding of SharePoint security.
Knowledgeable in the use of PowerShell. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to identify problems, determine accuracy / relevance of information, evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations.
Ability to work effectively with others to achieve goals.
Ability to work from a project plan as well as to assess needs, aid, resolve problems and satisfy expectations.
Ability to organize work, set priorities, handle multiple projects, and complete assignments within the established timelines.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
