- Acting as Planning Lead on projects across a range of markets and sectors.
- Being actively involved in bid preparation, tender submissions, and framework responses.
- Acting as lead consultant for multidisciplinary projects and taking responsibility for project management and project delivery.
- Providing support to junior colleagues and the Planning team leaders.
- Working in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment with colleagues in environmental, engineering, and design disciplines across the wider consultancy (UK and international).
- Engaging with the market and clients leads to supporting business growth and development opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
- A relevant Planning degree and RTPI membership is desirable.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined, and resilient.
- The ability to work under pressure, with excellent time management and success in meeting tight deadlines. Manage and work on multiple assignments output on time and within budget.
- Experience with the Environment Impact Assessment process.
- Experience and knowledge of Strategic Planning and Planning policy.
- Understanding of TCPA, DCO, TWAO, or equivalent applications.
- The ability to work well as part of multidisciplinary teams with the confidence to input effectively as an individual across a range of projects, consenting and strategic planning, and a range of geographies.
- The ability to prepare accurate and well-presented reports to a high standard.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore, and discuss planning issues.
- Flexibility to apply knowledge and experience to a wide variety of planning-related tasks.
- Demonstrable ability to develop client relationships.
- Experience at working and supporting market growth.
