Optical Sales Executive job in Leicestershire. Zest Optical are currently looking to recruit an Optical Sales Executive for a leading eye hospital. The purpose of this role is to help the business build a large referral base of patients, through various referral partners - high street opticians, GPs, referral centres, etc. This role will involve working with clients across the Leicestershire region.

The Optical Sales Executive will be the first point of contact for both existing and prospective referrers and is responsible for growing the referral base by building strong and robust customer relationships. As part of the role you will also visit referral management centres and GPs at their practices, where appropriate.

This role will suit an individual who is proactive, enjoys meeting new people, and is confident amongst senior and professional members of the ophthalmic community. Relying on self-motivation, you will manage your own diary, meetings and route planning. You will be required to work in close partnership with you allocated hospital, maintaining internal relationships and leveraging opportunities that arise within.

You will work on this large infrastructure project to optimise the engineering aspect ensuring this project comes in on time and within budget from an engineering perspective. Main Responsibilities

The Senior Project Engineer will work within the team to deliver the highly strategic ongoing project that is fundamental for operational production and business growth for this JV. You will be the SME to ensure the project surfacing operations run safely, delivers first class customer service to our clients, drives efficiency improvements throughout the scheme. You will manage engineering on the contract from design information through to contract sign off, you will have the ability to problem solve, innovate, and drive engineering performance to the highest levels.

As the Senior Project Engineer must be well-versed in all engineering surfacing construction methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organisational skills. Your responsibilities will include (not exhaustive):

• Have a proven track record of successful engineering Project / Programme delivery, knowledge of pave or surfacing engineering within multi-million-pound projects
• Responsible for delivering the engineering aspect of the project ‘road map’ and able to foresee issues and apply proactive problem solving techniques to overcome challenges, to remain on track to achieve key milestones / dates
• Provide management, guidance and direction to the wider Project Delivery Team and support the General Manager to ensure that all objectives, aims and targets are achieved
• Ensure that the team and business are fully compliant with all H&S, business policies, legal delivery requirements and procedures at all times for both our colleagues and contractors
• Lead, manage and develop the team, optimising engagement, and overall team performance
• Communication is key with colleagues, managers and contractors across the whole project to ensure all tasks are performed promptly, you must have the tact and diplomacy when dealing with tense situations that can arise at any moment during the project's life cycle
• Where contractual issues arise, support the project commercial manager to recover these costs from within the project

You will hold a FULL UK manual car driving license with no more than 6 penalty points

The successful applicant in the role will be instrumental in the future development and support of our culture. You will have experience as a Senior Project Engineer within an Infrastructure, Construction, Highways or Surfacing industry, this experience will be an essential requirement for this role; road or highways surfacing knowledge would be highly beneficial.

Qualifications/Requirements/Capabilities:

• Desirable – Degree or HNC/HND in a role related discipline as this would prove highly beneficial in your success in the role
• Desirable – Engineering Management experience on multi-million-pound operational, construction or heavy engineering project/s
• Challenge people, hold them accountable for job completion and quality of completion
• Computer literate - familiarity with computer software - word, excel, etc and project management software
