At Aston Villa Football Club, we recognise that our staff are at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to making our Club a truly great place to work.
Our Human Resources and Payroll Department plays a key role in delivering our ‘people’ strategy. We are focused on ensuring the Club has the right skills and resources in place to deliver an elite, high performance culture that drives our success both on and off the pitch. Operating within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this will be a busy role with a varied caseload and offers an opportunity to actively contribute to other HR initiatives. As the key HR contact for your business area, you will drive meaningful impact by undertaking the full range of recruitment and onboarding activities, as well as delivering an exceptional employee lifecycle service including contract administration, dealing with staff queries, and processing leavers.
The role is full-time based on site at Villa Park, and you will need to be flexible to support HR activities during evenings and weekends (when required). You will also provide dedicated HR support on all ‘home’ matchdays (including an onsite presence, with some occasional remote support to be agreed in future). This role will also need to attend staff training and induction events to provide HR support to your business area during evenings and weekends as required.

You will have the ability to liaise and build successful relationships with a range of colleagues and stakeholders at all levels by demonstrating personal credibility and integrity, and have an awareness of using sensitive, highly confidential personal information and data. The successful candidate will also have strong organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure, use your own initiative and make recommendations for improvements to processes. Strong administrative skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office particularly (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are also required for this post.
With the ability to work matchdays and across some evenings and weekends, you will ideally also have access to a vehicle and / or the ability to travel between our Club sites; Villa Park, London Office and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.
