The role
As an Engineering Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be helping to support managing aging assets to ensure the Royal Navy submarines are kept safe, available and capable.
Day-to-day, you'll be developing and applying engineering domain knowledge and project management best practice to assist in the development of technical and project solutions:
- Application of technical engineering knowledge
- Project controls support across schedule management
- Risk and opportunity management
- Change management
- Budgeting and cost control
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Engineering Project Manager:
- Extensive experience of managing projects on high value assets, within a regulated environment
- Proven success of developing and applying engineering management arrangements.
- Proven experience of managing engineering outputs and technical teams.
Qualifications for the Engineering Project Manager:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or appropriate further learning and experience
- Registered with a professional body at the IEng status, or capable and engaged in structured development towards its achievement - company will actively support the right candidate in working towards this
