Job Title: Business Design Analyst
Pay Rate: Up to £550 per day

Job Summary: The Business Design team within the Change Pillar at CTPHQ plays a crucial role in delivering effective change across the CT Network. As a Business Design Analyst, you will be at the forefront of this effort, undertaking analysis and design activities to develop innovative and efficient solutions to priority business problems and opportunities. Working closely with the Business Design Lead, you will contribute to the development of coherent operating models for the CT Network, ensuring effective and efficient mitigation of threat, risk, and harm.
Key Tasks:
- Undertake analysis to scope change activities, identifying and articulating business problems and opportunities to set the direction for required change.
- Conduct analysis across the CTP Network to design effective operating model solutions for priority change initiatives within the Change Pillar portfolio.
- Deliver design from strategy to execution, covering conceptual, logical, and physical levels, to ensure the development of coherent operating models, collaborating with stakeholders in CTPHQ and the CT Policing Network.
- Assist the Business Design Lead in developing and maintaining business design templates aligned with the CTP Business Design Handbook.
- Represent Business Design at relevant change initiative meetings and boards, providing subject matter expertise.
Key Skills: Essential:
- Good understanding of all levels of design (conceptual, logical, and physical).
- Experience in business analyst activity using formal methodologies and approaches, including collecting and analyzing complex data to provide concise and meaningful recommendations.
- Experience in developing business operating models.
- Experience in developing design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Good understanding of the change lifecycle and business case development.
- Experience working with stakeholders within a large organization, managing expectations, dealing with conflicting requirements, and identifying and engaging stakeholders at all levels (internal and external).
- Understanding of the CT Policing Network and partner agencies.
Desirable:
- Professional Business Analysis qualification by examination (e.g., BCS BA Diploma).
- Experience working in a policing and/or security environment.
- Experience building confidence with stakeholders and relationships at all levels.
- Comprehensive understanding of the CT Policing Network, including London (MPS), National (UK Force wide), and international responsibilities; relationships with Government, security and intelligence agencies; and governance arrangements, with a good understanding of CTP-related strategic aims, interdependencies, and constraints.
- Experience working in a challenging, change-driven environment.
