KNOWLEDGE
It is essential that the jobholder has substantial project management experience in projects with similar dimensions to that of the project and can evidence previous client responsibilities on large capital projects. It is also essential that the jobholder has some knowledge with regards to the planning process and conservation requirements that will enable the implementation of sustainable schemes. In addition, the jobholder must have well developed communication skills, for example good interaction and the ability to deliver interesting presentations.
It is desirable that the jobholder has some experience of planning, organising and delivering learning initiatives as well as holding a degree qualification in Planning, Surveying; or Architecture. Alternatively the jobholder may have developed equivalent skills, for example report writing, achievement of deadlines, the ability to think conceptually, and communicate advice and guidance articulately, and extensive, relevant Project Management experience.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £44,895.67 per annum.
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard.
