This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.
The Role
As a Project Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. Supporting the Lifting Lead, with developing and implementing all aspects of the lifts and hoists project scope.
The lifts and host scope consists of 22 material / passenger lifts and 100 rope / wire overhead hoists to be installed across HPC to support constriction activities. The project engineer will scope, plan and oversee the installation of the lifts and hoists.
Day-to-day, you'll provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project; all the while you'll be expected to review emergent engineering tasks, review, and develop a response of seek support from the wider engineering team:
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA / QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Raising engineering technical queries and monitoring progress.
- Review construction engineering deliverables as issued by the client and ensure the team are working to the latest issue.
- Develop proposals to improve construction methods.
- Support the Site Wide Team as required with emergent and ongoing scope.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater.
Essential Experience of the Project Engineer:
- AutoCAD and Navis Works knowledge.
- Ability to produce project plans in Microsoft project and draft detailed project reports.
- Appointed person lifting desirable.
Qualifications for the Project Engineer:
- HND / Degree - Civils or mechanical discipline.
Security Clearance
