Business Development Manager - Water Hygiene - Based in Bristol, M4 Corridor, Oxford or Gloucestershire areas - £40,000 - £50,000 per annum + commission

Our client are experts in water hygiene, water treatment, and Legionella risk management services. They work with a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors.

The Business Development Manager will be a motivated individual who is results driven. You must have a good working knowledge of the Water Treatment Industry and have a clear understanding of current Codes of Practice, British Standards, Guidance's, HTM's etc.

You will be experienced in selling Closed System contracts, Engineering aspects of Water Treatment, Chemical dosing control and chemical products, Steam Boiler water contracts, Closed system analysis, dosing control equipment & Legionella Control

Your focus will be to identify, target and approach new business in your region, and further afield into national regions. What you will do

As a Project Engineer, you will create project plans and proposals that will support and improve our business. You'll oversee all stages of projects that are assigned to you, from initial concept, through execution to final acceptance, ensuring all work meets the relevant standards and guidelines from a design, safety and environmental standpoint. You will support by drafting technical specifications and requests for quotations from OEMs and contractor partners.

Your role involves the overseeing of project engineering activities to ensure the area you are responsible for is completed on time and to budget, safely and to the designed standard. Problem-solving and liaising with internal and external stakeholders is critical to your success.

What you will need

The Project Engineer will hold a strong background within the Heavy Industry sector.

A degree in Engineering and Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not essential.

A solid understanding of project management techniques, risk assessment, and safety study methods is ideal, however, individuals who are successful will be expected to develop themselves and training will be provided.

Excellent communication skills are crucial, as you will represent the business externally and act as a company ambassador.

A high level of engineering competency in Electrical disciplines is expected. You should also have excellent time management, problem solving and analytical abilities

Job Summary / Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive business and confidential administrative and corporate support to the Strategy, Planning and Performance team. This is a key role to ensure efficient and effective support which includes preparing monthly/quarterly reports, overseeing business developments, providing high level support to projects, and undertaking specific administrative tasks.

Duties / Responsibilities include:

Arrange and support meetings on behalf of the Team including the taking and transcribing of notes, minutes and action points as required and follow up on actions with individuals across the Service and with other key stakeholders to ensure compliance.

Organise virtual arrangements or venues for Strategy, Planning & Performance led meetings, project teams and workshops etc. with requirement to support these sessions across Wales. Facilitate the delivery of any meetings/projects/workshops as required, responding to changes as necessary.

Manage the electronic diaries of key staff, by scheduling appointments/meetings as required, and bring forward relevant files as required. Prioritise workload and resolve conflicting diary requirements.

Responsible for the care and safe use of office equipment and security of office premises, reporting faults/failures to responsible person.

Monitor progress of defined aspects of specific projects, identifying problems or opportunities

Receive, validate and process invoices as required.

Essential:

Good working knowledge and experience in the management of business, secretarial and office procedures.

Experience and knowledge in the use of MS Office Suite.

Experience in the management and maintenance of information systems.

Experience of project support work.

Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
