Global Alcoa Business System Director
As the Global Alcoa Business System Director, you will have the overarching global responsibility for Alcoa Business Systems implementation and ongoing best practice improvement to the processes. You will refine and support deployment of the Alcoa Business System (ABS) across Alcoa’s full global portfolio of operations and lead the development of Training and Development curriculum and program for Operations Process management In this role, you can help fulfill our purpose and realize our vision to reinvent the aluminum industry.
About the role
Reporting to the Vice-President Performance and planning, you will:
- Refine and support deployment of the Alcoa Business System (ABS) across Alcoa’s full global portfolio of operations
- Lead development of Training and Development curriculum and program for Operations Process management
- Refine development and maintain state of the art of the Alcoa Business System (ABS)
- Support deployment of ABS across Alcoa’s full portfolio of operations
- ABS & L&D Implementation strategy and deployment process
- Progress measurement & feedback processes of the ABS Program deployment
- Application of digital technologies to ABS & L&D
- Support Change Management Processes for Organization Transformation
- Facilitate Help chain support from other Continuous Improvement Coe’s and technical specialist areas, regional rollout of global programs as well as local contact point for regional VPs & Operations Managers
What you bring to the role
- Degree in Engineering, Science or Business is essential. Master’s degree is desirable.
- 10 years’+ experience in Technical, Business Systems, Lean leadership roles in a mining / process manufacturing environment
- Extensive knowledge of ABS/ and LEAN across at least one of Alcoa’s large manufacturing processes, with Alcoa experience highly regarded
- Extensive experience in leading change, building relationships, and working collaboratively through people without direct line authority
- A business orientation, focused on achieving appropriate balance between cost, risk, and long-term value creation
- Process understanding and analytical skills to improve operational stability and discipline.
- Evidence of coaching and mentoring skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills within multi-disciplinary technical teams.

- Diriger l'élaboration d'un programme de formation et de développement ainsi que d'un programme de gestion des processus opérationnels.
- Affiner le développement et maintenir l'état de l'art du Alcoa Business System (ABS)
- Soutenir le déploiement de l'ABS dans l'ensemble du portefeuille d'opérations d'Alcoa
- Stratégie de mise en œuvre et processus de déploiement ABS & L&D
- Processus de mesure des progrès et de retour d'information du déploiement du programme ABS
- Application des technologies numériques à l'ABS & L&D
- Soutenir les processus de gestion du changement pour la transformation de l'organisation
- Faciliter le support de la chaîne d'aide d'autres centres d'amélioration continue et domaines techniques spécialisés, le déploiement régional de programmes mondiaux ainsi que le point de contact local pour les vice-présidents régionaux et les responsables des opérations.
Ce que vous apportez au rôle
- Un diplôme en ingénierie, en sciences ou en commerce est essentiel. Une maîtrise est souhaitable.
- Plus de 10 ans d'expérience dans des rôles de leadership technique, de systèmes d'affaires et de Lean dans un environnement minier/de fabrication de procédés
- Connaissance approfondie de l'ABS/et du LEAN dans au moins un des principaux processus de fabrication d'Alcoa, avec une expérience d'Alcoa hautement appréciée
- Vaste expérience dans la conduite du changement, l'établissement de relations et le travail collaboratif avec des personnes sans autorité directe.
- Une orientation commerciale, axée sur l'atteinte d'un équilibre approprié entre les coûts, les risques et la création de valeur à long terme.
- Compréhension des processus et compétences analytiques pour améliorer la stabilité opérationnelle et la discipline.
- Preuve de compétences en coaching et en mentorat.
- Compétences efficaces en matière de communication et de relations interpersonnelles au sein d'équipes techniques multidisciplinaires
