As a Civil Engineer you will have a background that includes a minimum 2:1 BEng/BSc or MEng degree in Civil Engineering.

The right person for this Civil Engineer role will have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in civil/infrastructure UK consultancy engineering. You will need to have a driving licence and use of your own car for site visits and meetings, and must be able to manage your own workload efficiently and flexibly to achieve required deadlines whilst maintaining quality.

Your experience in working on residential developments should include the production of - and gaining approval for - S38, S278 and S104 packages. A clear understanding of current design standards for both roads and drainage including local authority, national and regulatory guidance and planning policy will be required.

Proficient in the use of MicroDrainage (or Causeway Flow), along with Causeway PDS and/or Civil 3D and will be required.

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of multiple projects at various stages from conception through to completion at both a local and national level, and will need to be skilled in Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy report writing as well as Cut and Fill ground modelling and Production of Site Appraisals.

The role will include regular contact with clients, other design team members and attendance at meetings.

We are a looking for a Civil Technician with a background in residential and commercial projects, to work from a Derby office.

The right person for the Civil Technician position will have between 2 and 10 years experience of relevant experience working on client and local authority projects.

As a Civil Technician you will be skilled and familiar with common highway and drainage section agreements (S38, S278, S104, A106, S185) and multi stage SuDS design. You will need to be able to demonstrate strength in the use or MicroDrainage, and be a proficient user of AutoCAD and either PDS or Civils 3D.

Capability of complex S278 design is desirable, and good organisation, communication and presentation skills along with a good understanding of general processes and quality assurance standards is essential.

You will be working alongside side senior staff to provide CAD drawing and infrastructure design support, and will be required to have excellent knowledge of infrastructure standards including Manual for Streets, DMRB, The SuDS Manual, and Local Authority design standards.

Your role will involve undertaking and editing designs to form part of technical submission packs for detailed road and sewer designs, as well as the editing of designs following receipt of comments from adopting authorities. You will be tasked with undertaking Private Drainage and External Works detailed designs, and will be expected to comply with company Health & Safety standards at all times.

As a Senior Civil Engineer you will have a background that includes a minimum 2:1 BEng or MEng degree in Civil or Structural engineering, and be near to or recently chartered with the ICE or IStructE.
