Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity of all passengers, staff and their belongings are safe for carriage onto an aircraft.

Covering of VIP Flights so customer Service skills are a very important for this role.

In addition, and in line with security agent accountability, other aviation security related duties will be covered, Full Training provided.



Accountabilities:



Physical Search of passengers, staff and their belongings

-Physically search passengers and staff to the required standard.

-Perform a range of security-based tasks including body searches, baggage searches, access control, aircraft guarding and document checking.



Control of Access

-Check and validate any documentation that confirms an individual's

eligibility to travel i.e. Boarding Card, Ticket.

-Control the flow of passengers and staff onto a search lane so that the

process and integrity of the search teams is not compromised.

-Operate any equipment provided that is used to enhance the security

standard or defined within the scope of the contract.

-Complete documentation as required to record confiscated items, items

to aircraft and any other documentation as required by the contract client

to carry out passenger screening duties.



Working Environment

-Shift roster agreed dependent upon requirements, including day, night,

weekend and bank-holiday working where necessary

-Working in an inside and outside environment (Aircraft Hanger) working in all weather conditions

Mitie has a great opportunity for a Retail Elite Security Officer to join the Total Security Management Team.

Retail Elite Security Officers must be available to cover various shift patterns as well as being flexible in their approach to working locations and potential changes to working patterns.

This is a Relief Retail security position and the successful candidate must have a Drivers licence and access to their own vehicle or form of transport.



Main Duties

-To protect customers and colleagues from physical and verbal abuse, by providing a reassuring and professional security presence.

-To provide a highly visible security presence which is easily identified by both customers and colleagues whilst providing an exceptional level of customer service.

-To proactively deter and prevent anti-social behaviour, theft and criminal activity.

-Liaising with the store management, Police and other external agencies when required.

-Utilising conflict resolution in order to diffuse difficult situations that may arise within the workplace.

-Ensuring behaviours and situations that endanger the health and safety and wellbeing of colleagues, customers and fellow officers are identified and rectified in a timely manner in line with company policies.

What we are looking for

-The elite security officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.

-Able to work on their own initiative.

-Retail Security experience.

-Flexible Approach to work to suit the business needs with an ability to work with different teams as required.

-Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.

-Capable in the use of technology.

Main Duties

Operations

-To be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Operations Manager and in accordance with UK Law.

-Fully engage with Security Operations Centre (SOC) and use of all technology provided, including body cams and mobile devises to aid in the reporting of all incidents.

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising yourself with any changes to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.

-To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties.



Training

-Fully complete all required training.

-To undertake training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Operations Manager.

-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry - this will be arranged by Mitie.

Security and Health & Safety

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

-Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation becomes threatening.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.

-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

POD services have been delegated to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) with the POD Finance team providing a financial service through a Hub model.

The successful applicant will play a significant role in supporting commissioners within the Commissioning Hub and ICBs to deliver one of the key NHS objectives for 2024/25 – making it easier for people to access community and primary care services, in particular dentistry.
• Lead the POD Finance Team to ensure a comprehensive financial management process is provided for Pharmacy, Ophthalmic and Dental Services.
• Act as key point of contact between regional and ICB finance teams for POD services.
• Provide information to ICBs relating to delegated services that is clear, accurate and timely.
