Security Team leader at Southside Shopping Centre
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
is looking to appoint an experienced security Team Leader to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and lead the security team. The focus of this role will be to deliver excellence through establishing and enforcing robust security policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ability to work as part of a team and independently
-Strong communication skills both written and verbal
-Leading the team with the overseeing the day to day running of the whole operation (security, cleaning, waste management).
-To ensure that all personnel understand the scope of their individual roles with particular emphasis on delivering a professional customer service
-Excellent time management and incident management
-Make sure that all relevant daily/weekly/monthly checks have been completed and registered.
-Smart, well-groomed, and confident
-High level of attention to detail
-Conflict Management aware, investigating/documenting incidents
-Liaising with brand partners, coordinating and assisting with requests and concerns
-High level of customer care awareness and support best guest experience
-Writing reports, managing day-to-day rota, managing control room & incidents
-Holding team huddles at least ones a week
-Induction of new staff members, making sure all site AI's are read and signed by the team members, toolbox Talks are being read and signed for,
-Confident in complying with Health & Safety and fire prevention procedures
-Follow DSSM instruction and working closely with Senior Cleaning Supervisor
-dealing with contractors, Permits to Work and Risk Wise system, contractor monitoring and their access control
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-SIA DS and CCTV License
-IT literate

-Hours per week: 42 Hours per week average, 5 working days of 7
-Breaks? 1 hour paid break
-Holiday year: April to March 28 days including BH
Training
-Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
-Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
-Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
-To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
What we are looking for

-SIA Licence
